Jennifer Garner, full name Jennifer Anne Garner was born on April 17, 1972. She was nominated in Emmy and a Golden Globe award winner for SAG. She is mostly known for her role in Alias as a CIA agent named Sydney Bristow. In December 2007, Jennifer Garner was called The Charleston Sunday Gazette-Mails 2007 West Virginian of the Year. This was given to her because of her dedication, work ethic as well as her being an extraordinary role model/ambassador for the country of West Virginia.

Jennifer Garner was raised in Texas. Her mother is Patricia Ann who is an English instructor from Oklahoma. Her father is Billy Jack Garner who is a chemical engineer, he worked in Union Carbide Texas. She was the middle child and has two other sisters, Melissa Garner Wylie who was born on 1969 and living in Boston, Massachusetts, her youngest sister is Susannah Kay Garner Carpenter who was born on January 24, 1975 and was raised in West Virginia, but now is living in Charleston, West Virginia. Her family eventually moved to Charleston, West Virginia. They were Methodist. Jennifer Garner took ballet lessons when she was 3 years old and pursued it throughout her childhood. She admitted that she adored dancing and had never dreamt of being a classical ballerina. She resided in Charleston, West Virginia during her college years.

Jennifer Garner graduated in Charleston from George Washington High School in 1990. She can play the saxophone. She initially studied chemistry at Denison University then shifted her major to drama because of the realization that she loves acting compared to science. She was involved in a sorority at her school called Pi Beta Phi. Jennifer Garner graduated in 1994; she pursued her drama education at National Theater Institute. From there, David Chandler trained her, he was a fight choreographer, and he even stated that Jennifer Garner acts naturally during combat. Because she is a fast learner and gained immediate experience, she met with her friend Clayton Kirlew who is in New York and took chances in the New York theatre in 1995.
